“A step forward in sustainability and efficient water resource management”

SmartBall is the innovative technology adopted by Bim Gsp to inspect the Val Clusa aqueduct in Bellunese—a 130 km pipeline from La Valle Agordina to Valdobbiadene that supplies water to over 50,000 residents in 8 municipalities along the Piave River.

The ball, equipped with sensors capable of detecting, recording, and locating acoustic activity associated with leaks, was inserted into the pipelines and inspected a 40 km long section between La Valle Agordina and Lentiai di Borgo Valbelluna.

Among the first in Veneto to utilize it, this cutting-edge technology enabled us to monitor the health of the pipelines without excavation and without interrupting the supply to citizens.
